EA Navigations not to be transferred until 2015
An announcement today 28th February from the government has provided a policy for the transfer of Environment Agency managed waterways to the preferred NWC. The statement follows:

Shock drop in BW Grant!
Defra has today (20 December 2010) announced that its grant to British Waterways next year will be £41.5m. This is a reduction of £9.8m (or 19%) from the 2010/11 baseline grant of £51.3m.
