The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant will take place on the London Thames between noon and 6pm on Sunday 3rd June 2012.

The PLA have given a warning about expected high usage of VHF during and after the event in the area.

The pageant will consist of around 1000 vessels formed up in numerous squadrons with associated command and control vessels, and will process down river between Hammersmith and the Thames flood barrier at Woolwich.

It is believed that with the large crowds and the significance of the event the mobile telephone system may also experience high levels of demand which may lead to service interruption to all devices that use these systems.
